JC at Ascona: finally two points!

Two very different matches but both showed that the team is starting to improve and be more confident in their abilities.

The team played very well the first half against Collina d'Oro although they were not able to score. In the second half, losing by three goals, the JRC returns to the rink with a second string of players who were unprepared and distracted and in just one minute let three goals in: game almost over. The team continued to fight until the end but the extreme loss of 8 to 1 leaves little room for excuses from the team: few and inaccurate shots on net except for one scored by Andrea M. who was also the leader of the second match.

The second match was the most eagerly awaited by our young champions for the chance to grab the first two points of the season against the new team Wapiti!

The first ten minutes of play were equally balanced but JRC Ispra, finished the first period ahead by two goals thanks to a hat-trick by Andrea M. and two goals by Paula and Thomas. In the second period, the adversaries caught up, but JRC held out to the very end and managed to win 8 to 6 with three other goals made by Thomas, Dougal (great first goal) and Andrew M.

Our talented girls, boys and myself can finally enjoy our exciting win!
